Interact Club

Interact is a programme of world’s leading NGO, Rotary International.

Formed in 1905, Rotary now 121 years young, is a global network of more than 1.2 million neighbors, friends, leaders, and problem-solvers who see a world where people unite and take action to create lasting change – across the globe, in our communities, and in ourselves.

Interact is one of the programmes of Rotary International for community & school going children. Interact clubs bring together young people ages 12-18 to develop leadership skills while discovering the power of Service Above Self, the motto of Rotary International.

Taking action, building international understanding, and making new friends around the world is what is on offer to the Interactors.

The Interact Club of SVMS Budding Achievers was sponsored by the Rotary Club of Bharuch Femina in 2019-‘20 and is organized at SVM School.

What’s involved?

Interact clubs organize at least two projects every year, one that helps their school or community and one that promotes international understanding. Rotary club sponsors mentor and guide Interactors as they carry out projects and develop leadership skills.

The Interact Club of SVMS Budding Achievers gives a platform to her students to hone their leadership and related skills. The club marks the beginning of its journey with a grand ‘Installation Ceremony’, a celebration filled with purpose and a shared vision for the future. Throughout the year, the club passionately undertakes a wide range of meaningful activities including Nukkad Natak, organizing the ‘Great Backyard Bird Count’ activity, celebrating Hand Wash day, distributing crackers during Diwali, preparing Bird Houses, organising various seminars including one on Fire & Safety, Awareness for Cervical Cancer, initiating a Cleanliness drive at school, to name a few.

Investiture ceremony


Investiture Ceremony of SVM Higher Secondary School was held on Thursday, 4th September 2025, with great enthusiasm and pride. The event began with a prayer dance and the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by the dignitaries.

The Guest of Honour, Mr. Nirmal Parekh, addressed the gathering with encouraging words, emphasizing the importance of leadership, discipline, and the strong partnership between teachers and parents in shaping young minds.

A special drama by Class 9 students, performed in honour of Teachers & Day conveyed a meaningful message for both students and teachers.

The highlight of the event was the badging ceremony, where Mr. Parekh, honoured the Head Boy, Head Girl, and the Student Council members with badges and ribbons, officially entrusting them with their roles and responsibilities.

The ceremony concluded with a sense of pride, motivation, and commitment among the newly appointed student leaders.


Activities undertaken by ‘Interact Club of Budding Achievers’ TD Vaccination camp


A TD (Tetanus and Diphtheria) vaccination camp was successfully conducted at our school on 12th July 2025 for students of Std. 5th & 10th.

The camp was organized by the Interact Club of SVMS Budding Achievers in collaboration with Zila Panchayat Health Department, Dholikui Bazar, Bharuch, under the guidance of Dr. Nidhi Diwan.

The vaccination program aimed to provide active immunization against diphtheria and tetanus among adolescents and school-aged children, in accordance with government health guidelines. Beneficiaries included children aged 5, 10, and 16 years. The vaccination was carried out smoothly with the support of health officials and school staff.

A separate session was conducted on 18th July 2025 for Balvatika students.


Seminar on Communication Skills


To celebrate the Interact Week that falls during the week of 5th to 12th November, an Orientation Program on COMMUNICATION SKILLS was organised by the Interact Club of SVMS Budding Achievers on 12th November 2025 at SVM Higher Secondary School. The session was facilitated by Mr. Rushi Dave, Director of Channel Narmada - a leading local NEWS Channel and a well acclaimed expert on communication and body language.Mr. Dave shared valuable tips on how toimprove our communication skills. He explained the importance of confidence, clarity, body language, and active listening in effective communication.

His interactive activities made the session lively and engaging for all the students.

Director of SVM school Shri Devang Thakore also addressed the students and shared inspiring thoughts on how good communication helps us express ideas, build confidence, and achieve success in life.


All the students participated with great enthusiasm and learned practical ways to enhance their communication abilities.

The best part was the feedback shared by many students as to what they learnt and would imbibe in their personality!

The programme was informative, inspiring, and enjoyable for everyone.

The program was concluded with a vote of thanks and the presentation of a memento to the guest speaker.

Save birds skit ( Performed on Annual Parents’ Day)


Interact club of SVMs Budding achiever’ presented learning lessons through a drama ‘Save birds’ to draw attention of the audience towards our feathered friends.

Youth Day Celebration ( Yoga cum meditation)


The birthday of Swami Vivekananda is celebrated annually on 12th January as National Youth Day. The day aims to honour the contributions of the youth and promote their role in nation building. This day is a reminder of Vivekananda’s vision, inspiring young minds to channel their energy towards constructive and positive endeavours. Activity undertaken by the school was a session of ‘Yoga & meditation’ where students presented various ‘yoga asanas’ for the overall wellbeing of individuals.

Bird rescue and rehabilitation programme


Understanding bird conservation means understanding ecology. Birds are an integral part of the ecosystem and serve many important purposes including insect and rodent population control, distribution of seeds that leads to forest conservation and food sources for bird predators.

A very interesting & informative programme was presented by Akash Patel, Mrugesh Shah, Prachi Patel, and Ankur Patel from ‘Rescue and Rehab Foundation’ on 26th December 2023 in SVM Higher Secondary School, Bharuch.

Students of Std 6 to 9 attended the session and learnt many things. They comprehended that birds are important members of many ecosystems. They play a vital role in controlling pests, act as pollinators, provide fertilizer in agriculture and maintain ecology.

How do you save a wounded bird?

Follow these instructions to rescue a bird:

1. Prepare a carrier.

2. Protect yourself.

3. Cover the bird with a light sheet or towel.

4. Gently pick up the bird and put it in the prepared carrier.

5. Warm the animal.

6. Contact a Wildlife Rehabilitator near you.

• Place the wild bird in a cardboard box and cover it with a lid or towel.

• Then place the box in a cool, safe place.

• When handling the injured bird use gloves to protect yourself from any disease or germ.

• Give the wild bird time to recover from the shock of the injury.

Interact week


In the spirit of Diwali, the members of Interact Club of Budding Achievers, lighted the lamp of compassion and empathy by launching an array of activities to illuminates the lives of under privileged and to show concern for the neglected cattle.

In the first week of November the members spearheaded a ‘Grain donation’ drive for the neglected cattle at ‘Panjrapol’, Bharuch. For this noble mission, bags of grains poured in from generous contributors. The club members delivered the grains to designated areas for distribution. The club parterned with the animal welfare organization to ensure the proper distribution of grains. This small act of kindness not only raised awareness about the neglected animals of the city but also reconfirm the commitment of the club members to help beyond boundaries.


The members of Interact club reached out to those who might be facing the chill of the winter without proper clothes. Bags full of clothes were collected from homes and neighbourhood and were segregated for proper distribution. Then they were thoughtfully distributed to the needy at various location. To lit up the festival of lights for them fire crackers, candles and sweets were also distributed to them.

A card making project was also undertaken by the budding achievers. Members, armed with colourful paper, sketch pens and a lot of enthusiasm, poured their hearts into creating cards to bring warmth and compassion into the lives of those who might be experiencing solitude.

Navratri Celebration


Navratri – a time of joy, devotion, celebration and togetherness.

Navratri was celebrated at SVM school with vibrant energy, enthusiastic dancing, and a beautiful display of rich tradition of India.

Our students, dressed in stunning traditional attire, swayed to the rhythm of Gujarati music, creating an enchanting atmosphere.

The celebration not only marked cultural richness but also captured the essence of Navratri.


Session on ‘Unlocking health & confidence, adolescent healthcare


A unique talk show was organized in SVM school for adolescents titled ‘Unlocking health & confidence, adolescent healthcare’. Adolescent is an age that comes with challenges and curiosity. The seminar aimed to address the problems & anxieties of adolescents

The seminar was organized separately for boys and girls so that they can freely discuss the questions arising in their minds. Dr. Vikram Premkumar, a specialist in new born baby care & adolescent counseling, addressed the changes occurring in the bodies of boys during puberty which are challenging to navigate and he guided them thoroughly.

Dr. Palak Kapadia, a specialist in Preconception Counseling and an adolescent counselor, explained in detail the problems faced by girls during puberty and assured them that the changes are normal.

Dr.Nitisha Shah, an expert in Garbhsanskar & stress management, encouraged the girls to come out openly with their problems before their parents and teachers.

Dr. Khushbu Modh, an expert in Child Parenting and Baby Led Weaning, also attended the session.

The seminar was informative and kept the students engaged throughout.

Ganesh Idol Making/Toran Making Competition


Ganesh Chaturthi, a vibrant and auspicious festival, brings with it a wave of creativity and devotion. This year, our school organized a spirited Ganesh Idol Making and Toran Making Competition that beautifully showcased the artistic talents of our students.

The competition witnessed enthusiastic participation from students of Standards 1 to 9. They creatively crafted beautiful Ganpati idols using a variety of eco-friendly materials such as clay, sand, coconut shells, pulses, and ear buds.


Students poured their hearts into every detail of their creations. In addition to the idols, they also designed attractive and dangling torans using eco-friendly materials, adding to the festive spirit of the celebration.

The participants were judged based on their creativity, craftsmanship, and adherence to the use of eco-friendly materials. The event was a great success, encouraging environmental awareness while nurturing artistic expression among the students.

Janmashtami


Janmashtami, the joyous celebration of Lord Krishna's birth, enveloped our school in a vibrant tapestry of colors, dance and music. It was a day when the entire school community came together to pay homage to the divine man, who symbolizes love, wisdom, and playfulness.


Sanskrit Diwas Celebration


World Sanskrit Day also known as ‘Sanskrit Diwas’ is celebrated every year on Shravana Purnima that is on full moon day in the month of Shravana.

At our school, we celebrated Sanskrit Diwas with great enthusiasm, showcasing the significance of this ancient language. The students of Std VI to IX practiced for the celebration for days altogether and presented a passionate programme on the day.

Meri Mati Mera Desh


As part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, the Government of India launched the special programme “Meri Mati Mera Desh” to pay tribute to the brave souls who laid down their lives for the country and to instill a sense of patriotism and universal brotherhood among citizens, especially students.

SVM School celebrated this event with great enthusiasm, transforming it into an opportunity for students to showcase their inner talents and express their love for the nation.


On 14th August, all students and teachers took the ‘Panch Pran’ pledge during the morning assembly, demonstrating their commitment to the nation. This was followed by a melodious patriotic song presented by the members of the Interact Club, which filled the atmosphere with pride and patriotism.

The Indian Tricolour was proudly hoisted at three different locations within the school premises by the students, symbolizing unity and national pride.

The celebration continued with various activities such as drawing, rangoli making, and painting. Students participated enthusiastically and in large numbers, making the event a memorable and meaningful tribute to the nation.

Installation ceremony


SVM School has been proudly running its Interact Club, “Budding Achievers,” for the past four years, providing students with a valuable platform to hone their leadership and social responsibility skills. This year marked the fifth installation ceremony of the club, held under the sponsorship of the Rotary Club of Bharuch Femina. The special ceremony was organized at the school and was attended by the newly elected team members along with their parents and the outgoing team.

The Chief Installing Officer for the ceremony was Rtn. Amardeep Singh Bunet, DG Nominee (2025–26), Rotary International District 3060. The Chief Guest was Rtn. Bhavesh Rami, Assistant Governor, R.I. District 3060. The Guests of Honour included Rtn. Sharmila Das, President of the Rotary Club of Bharuch Femina, and Rtn. Kamaljeet Kaur Bunet, Chairman – Happy Schools, R.I. District 3060. The ceremony was further graced by the presence of SVM Trustee Shri Devang Thakore and Rtn. PP Manisha Thakore.

The event commenced with an engaging Nukkad Natak on pollution control, presented by the talented students of SVM School. Staged in the central lawn, the performance received immense appreciation from the audience, and its theme and acting were highly praised by the speakers during their addresses.

This was followed by a presentation of the annual report highlighting the club’s activities over the past year by Itr. Hitansh Agnejiya and Mauli Valand. The newly elected team was then formally installed and took the oath of office from the esteemed guests. The new President, Itr. Vrunda Pandya, shared her vision and plans for the upcoming year.

A special token of appreciation was presented to the members of the outgoing team in recognition of their exceptional service and dedication to community welfare. The memorable event concluded with a dinner, leaving all attendees inspired and proud of the students’ achievements.

Seminar on Menstrual hygiene & Corona precautions Club


SVM school in collaboration with Rotary club of Bharuch, Femina and Interact club of Budding achievers , arranged a seminar on menstrual hygiene & ways to follow for protection against Corona. Dr. Meera Shah, the secretary of Rotary club Femina Mrs. Dhanshree Erram and members Mrs. Samina Gunderwala & Seetha Hariharan addressed the audience.
